Theory test books & CD-ROMs are available from newsagents & book shops. 2 Complete medical report form D501 (Click here) 3 Complete learner permit application form D201 which can be obtained from garda stations or motor tax office. 4 Send all documentation to your local motor tax office with appropriate fee, passport photo etc. or call into, read all notes on learner permit application to make sure you don’t forget anything you need. 5 When you receive your Learner Permit in the post call me on 086 0400088 to arrange driving lessons. For EC you need to hold a fully C licence and if you passed the theory test in 2yr or less you can get an EC learner permit for free. If not you will have to go through the 5 steps above. If you don't qualify for 'acquired rights' for Driver CPC If you had your bus licence on or after 10 September 2008 or your truck licence on or after 10 September 2009 you don’t qualify for acquired rights. To become a professional bus or truck driver you must pass: - Two-hour multiple choice theory test. - 90-minute driving test. - Two-hour case study theory test. - 30-minute practical test. NEXT >
